DARCY LYNDON FRASER is a conceptual documentary filmmaker employing traditional motion picture film and digital video formats to capture images and sounds from un-familiar places with a familiar feel. Concentrating on the “look”, he uses several mediums, filters and processes to capture the subject in its most natural form. Using a “Fly on the Wall” technique, Darcy encourages his subject to be comfortable within their space; taking sanctuary in eccentric stories and people. Darcy received a degree from the Nova Scotia Community College Screen Arts Program (2005), and is the second founding member of the Mercury Vapour Collective (2000). His directorial history includes: Routine, Cook’s Dairy, Velvet Smooth, and Old Cathedral (2004). | ||||||
